Hi All

Firstly the new look skywaves group looks great and hopefully performs better than yahoo groups that at times is a complete nightmare, well done and thanks to everyone concerned with producing this site for the benefit of us radio enthusiasts.

For this MW season I am using my new receiver the Elad FDM-S2 and have uploaded a couple of WAV files that will allow people to try the Elad Software on MW. The files are short this is because my internet connection is really poor and big files tends to upset it. But you will get the idea of what an average day reception is like at my location in Southern Scotland and the ability to try the Elad FDM-SW2 software on the entire MW band during a dawn peak.

The software is still improving the Elad team are doing a great job at dealing with everyone’s need and wants from the software. For me the function that is currently missing to make MW dxing easier is the ability to move both sides of the filter independently of each other. But one of the most useful features is the duel notch filters that have a user selectable bandwidth up-to 5khz great for removing splatter.

I find the audio and and performance is far better than the perseus. The audio sounds amazing when you use the NR function with the slider at minimum.

Even while the Elad software is improving it is already giving the user a bigger bang for their buck than the perseus did…also without the need for any add-ons.

Download the current FDM-SW2 software and choose the complete set-up for first time install.

And you can down load my two WAV files the 06:00utc is about 40 sec and the 06:30utc is about 1 min not long I know but its better than nothing :D ... 4_0600.wav ... 4_0630.wav
