How good SW might sound like...

If you ever wanted a good example of how excellent music on shortwave can sound,
you are advised to turn on RFE/RL's farsi language programme "Radio Farda" on 12005 kHz.

This is probably the best audio signal (and also the best propagation) I have ever heard on SW.

agreed, i wonder how much of the music the station themselves actually produces since i can't imagine all these Iranian versions of top 40 songs were produced in the country

Farda & Sawa have a really distinctive sound, I identified sawa just from some weak music on one of Walt Salimanovs dx recordings
